Drink spiking test FAQs

Let's get serious for a second. Verri screens your drink for three uninvited guests: GHB, ketamine and Rohypnol.

It has limits. It doesn't cover every possible 'knockout' drug, and it won't pick up extra alcohol, which is the substance most often used in drink spiking. It's a preliminary screen only, and dark-coloured drinks, milk or some carbonated mixers can affect what you see.

Verri helps you stay informed, but it's not a replacement for keeping an eye on your drink. If in doubt, ditch the drink.

Verri is a screening tool, and we QA check every batch we sell, but no field check is 100% accurate.

Drink acidity and mixers can affect what you see. No colour change doesn't guarantee a drink is safe. Always trust your instincts: if a drink looks, smells or tastes off, don't drink it. See how the colour change works.

Verri is made for your night-out drinks. A few things to keep in mind:

• The no-go's: milk or cream, oily drinks and drinks with sodium carbonate can cause a colour change on their own.
• The colour rule: deep reds and blues can make the colour hard to read (think of reading a highlighter on dark paper).
• The golden rule: make sure the spot is dry before you put your drink on it.

Check your mixer. Some club sodas and sparkling mineral waters contain sodium carbonate to add fizz. It reacts with the strip and turns the GHB/ketamine spot blue even if no drugs are present. If you're checking a vodka soda, check the mixer's ingredients first.

Like a good face mask or a text to your ex, these spots are a one-time thing. Each spot is single use, so use a fresh one for each drink. You don't need to check every drink you have, but if the vibe, the company or the venue feels off, it's worth having a few handy.

First things first: put. the. drink. down. Don't take a single sip. Grab your bestie, find a member of staff or security, and tell them what's happened. They're there to help. Stay in the light, stay with your crew, and look after yourself. If you're flying solo, drop a pin or text family and friends straight away, then ask staff for help. Verri is for screening only, so treat a colour change as a warning, not a forensic confirmation.

Trust your body. If something feels off, don't second-guess yourself. Call 000 immediately if you or a friend are in serious distress. If you're feeling unwell at a venue, find security or staff right away — they're trained for this and want to help. Don't leave the venue alone. Text or call someone you trust to let them know where you are. Your safety is the only priority.

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Due to the nature of this product (single use) the packaging must remain unopened to qualify for a return.
